From the dramatic 400% increase of school closures since 2002 to the disproportionate treatment of children attending public schools in poor neighborhoods to the intensely dysfunctional method of teaching-to-test vs teaching-to-learn as a result of the No Child Left Behind act to the use of antiquated curriculums, the U.S. educational system is in shambles. Are we willing to sit idly by while American children are systematically dumbed down?
